My original plan was to promote people based on their activity and submission to the group, which involved me going into each account and reviewing their activity one by one. But due to time constraints, I'm changing my tactics:

I'd like for you to reply to this message to request a promotion, if you want one. Give me a quick description of why you feel you deserve a promotion and the elevated members will discuss it. It doesn't necessarily mean I'll be the one doing the promoting since I'll be in and out of DA for a while. But when I get back, this blog post is the first page I'll visit to see if anyone would like to be promoted to a more active role in the group. You only need to request a promotion. As to what level of promotion you'll get is up to us. We're going to rigorously review your account in terms of professionalism, activity, and artistic sense.

Just note that I've demoted people as well due to abuse of their power (and they've left the group on their own accord). So as Uncle Ben said to Peter, "With great power comes great responsibility." If you get promoted, please use a certain level of control.
